What is the appropriate temperature for the sushi cabinet

Freezers are commonly found in shops, shopping malls, nightclubs, KTVs, and other venues. However, improper maintenance will affect their service life. Below are the maintenance methods for freezers.

  1. The display cabinet should be placed on a flat surface for refrigeration, even if the usage environment is good. Never place it horizontally. The indoor environment where the freezer is placed should be well-ventilated and dry. The distance between the freezer and the ceiling should be at least 50 cm, with at least 20 cm of space on both sides and at least 20 cm of space in front of other objects.

  2. Newly purchased or relocated display cabinets should stand for 2 to 6 hours before being powered on. After the cabinet is powered on and stops running, do not restart it immediately. Wait for more than 5 minutes before turning it on again to avoid damaging the compressor.

  3. The thermostat of a general freezer should be adjusted according to the season and ambient temperature. In summer, it is more suitable to set the thermostat to "5" or "6"; in spring and autumn, it is more appropriate to set it to "3" or "4". When using the freezer, minimize the number of door openings and reduce the time for storing food. Hot food must be cooled to room temperature before being placed in the freezer. For frost-free air-cooled freezers, ensure that stored food is not placed too close to the air outlet.

  4. For direct-cooling freezers, manual defrosting is required when the frost layer reaches 5 mm in thickness. Routine maintenance: Regularly clean the compressor and condenser. Clean the freezer at least once every two months. Before cleaning, disconnect the power, gently wipe with a neutral detergent and water, and then use a damp cloth with clean water to remove the detergent. Do not use laundry detergent, cleaning powder, talcum powder, alkaline detergents, boiling water, oil, or brushes to clean the display cabinet. For freezers that will not be used for a long time, unplug the power cord, wipe the interior clean, and leave the cabinet door open until it is completely dry.

  5. For freezers not in use during cold seasons, power them on 1 to 2 times per month and let them run for 10 minutes. Additionally, a comprehensive maintenance check must be performed during the initial shutdown.

  6. The condenser and compressor of the freezer are mostly exposed and prone to accumulating dust and cobwebs. Use a soft brush to clean them. Do not rinse the condenser and compressor with water during cleaning, as this may reduce the electrical insulation performance. When cleaning the interior, remove all items and accessories for thorough cleaning. While wiping the door seal, apply an appropriate amount of talcum powder to prevent the seal from sticking. If odors remain after cleaning, use a 3% baking soda solution to carefully wipe the inner walls of the storage compartment to quickly eliminate the odor.

Additionally, special attention must be paid to avoiding forcibly cutting off the freezer's power. If the power is forcibly disconnected while the refrigerant pressure is high, immediately restoring power in a static state may cause excessive pressure, leading to motor overload. At this time, the starting current can be 20 to 30 times the normal value, which can easily burn out the motor. Therefore, when shutting down the freezer, wait until the internal temperature drops to a certain level and the thermostat automatically cuts off the power before unplugging the power cord.
